Friends House Gardens

Friends House is a multi-use building at 173 Euston Road in London, England. The building houses the central offices of British Quakers and a conference centre. The building is also the principal venue for North West London Meeting and the Britain Yearly Meeting.

Friends House is run by Quiet Company, the fully owned trading subsidiary of Quakers in Britain. It was formed in 2007 and is responsible for managing the facilities and property services at Friends House. Our staff look after the meeting rooms, the Quaker Centre Bookshop and Seed Café.

Friends House is a Grade II listed building, completed in spring 1927, for which the architect, Hubert Lidbetter, won the RIBA bronze medal for “best building erected in London”. The design included a large auditorium, known as the Large Meeting House, a library, garden and courtyard. Friends House is home to the central offices of Quakers in Britain. The building has been completely refurbished to be a modern, accessible events venue. The Large Meeting House was relaunched as The Light in 2014.
