Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio

The Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio, part of University College London, is a landmark Brutalist building that first opened in 1968. It was originally known as the Central Collegiate Building Auditorium and later the Collegiate Theatre. Renamed in 1982, it reflects its geographical location and artistic associations. The theatre underwent a major renovation and reopened in 2019, offering a main auditorium with over 500 seats and a smaller, more intimate studio space. It hosts a variety of performances including theatre, dance, music, comedy, and talks. Notable performers have included Ricky Gervais, Adele, Gregory Porter, and Jo Brand.
